Dance Workshop of Hanover offers students ages 9+ (with permission of director and acceptance at auditions) the opportunity for additional performing through dance competitions held in the New England area. Dancers must have a minimum of three years dance experience and must also be enrolled in weekly classes studying Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and/or Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theatre and Acro. A required syllabus will be provided upon acceptance to the team. 
 
Competition classes generally meet on the weekends in addition to their regularly scheduled classes. DWH usually participates in a maximum of four competitions per year. Our competition team philosophy is based in learning proper technique in all dance forms in regular classes, ballet being our foundation, then transferring those skills to the stage in separate competition rehearsal classes.
